Temporomandibular Joint and Muscle Disorders (TMJ)
Your upper and lower teeth come together through the intricate cooperation of teeth, muscles and joints. If your teeth are not properly aligned, your muscles and joints may compensate, causing TMJ pain. Tooth Colored Restorations
The application and maintenance of fillings, inlays, onlays and crowns made from materials designed to match the natural color of your teeth.
Tooth Colored Fillings – White fillings, also called composite fillings, are made from tooth-colored materials. These serve to restore the natural appearance of a decayed or previously filled tooth.
Tooth Colored Crowns – Crowns are recommended when the damaged tooth does not have enough structure to safely hold a tooth-colored filling. Depending on the amount of tooth structure involved, a crown may be an inlay, onlay or a full-coverage crown. Crowns are offered in either porcelain or Zirconia (lava).
Veneers & Lumineers
Unlike a full crown which covers the entire tooth, a veneer is a thin shell placed over the front visible area of the tooth. Veneer application is a simple and comfortable procedure, typically completed in two to three visits. Veneers are a popular treatment option for discolored, poorly shaped, or slightly crooked teeth. Implants
Implants are mainly used to replace missing teeth or support dentures. During the course of treatment, small titanium cylinders are surgically inserted into the bone then covered with a natural looking restoration. Dentures
A denture is a prosthesis that is fabricated to replace missing teeth. It can be a full or a partial denture depending on how many teeth are missing. Dentures can also be fabricated in conjunction with implants to gain better retention. Please call our office if you have any questions about dentures.
Bleaching (Tooth Whitening)
Used to whiten teeth that are discolored over time due to age or exposure to coffee, tea , soda , tobacco and other staining foods and drinks . Both in-office and at home bleaching systems are available. Results vary depending on your teeth and severity of staining. Preventive Hygiene and Periodontal Care
Your gums are an important foundation for your teeth and provide stability for all your dental work. Unfortunately, it is estimated that an alarming 80 % of adults have some sort of periodontal disease. Not only does periodontal disease affect dental hygiene, but studies show that it is a contributor for heart disease. With early detection and treatment we can reduce the risk of infection and tooth loss. Our team uses Arestin® to minimize periodontal pockets in the mouth. Arestin® is a powdered antibiotic that is injected in the socket to help treat a periodontal infection. A healthy mouth is part of a healthy body.
Oral cancer screening
Oral cancer hits one American every hour of the day. People are contracting the disease from exposure to tobacco and / or alcohol, HPV, and other causes.
I am pleased to announce that our dental practice has enhanced our ability to detect abnormal tissue and oral cancer at early stages. We have recently purchased a VELscope® oral cancer screening system which helps us detect lesions that may not be visible under traditional white light . Invisalign®
Invisalign® makes it easy to straighten your teeth without bands , brackets , or wires. Invisalign® is comfortable to wear and it doesn’t require you to change your busy lifestyle .
